I was taking losartan, and have had hair loss for high blood pressure. My doctor has just prescribed Ramipril instead. She gave me some literature that says that ramipril does not cause hair loss, but I've found just the opposite information. I'm afraid that switching to a new drug might cause even more hair loss.
What expierience have others had with this drug?

I have ankylosing spondylitis of the neck, to the pain from which I tend to respond by tensing the muscles of my neck, face and shoulders - with consequential (?) jaw tremor. By relaxing the associated muscles, I can stop the tremor - but it starts again as soon as my mind is occupied otherwise - for instance when my neck pain increases, or if I'm having a conversation with someone, or formulating and typing something like this: in other words, whenever I stop consciously relaxing (nb: it also stops when I fall asleep).
Does anyone else experience a similar 'stoppable' tremor of this kind, please?

  • Vyvanse and sweat makes baaad BO!!!

Four years ago I met up with this guy person at a garden, at least I think it was a human to talk about our mutual interest in short fiction. We had a great conversation telepathically-speaking because we didn’t say much but to be honest I didn't want to talk too much because I was already feeling nervous and twitchy and could feel myself getting worked up, very weird for such a random person. Now that I think about it the entire meeting was as if I was in an alternate reality. It's not like he's handsome or charming or anything, in fact he's very ugly (on the inside), and that day I was wearing my soul goggles. Anyway we talked for what seemed like 5 minutes in a span of 2 hours.

I was on a double dose of Vyvanse to "calm my nerves" and yet seriously he was making me jumpy and was acting a bit weird like I wouldn’t let him throw a peach pit on the grass because I thought that was littering, when that was clearly FREE FOOD for aerial wildlife. After days and days of counting his eyelashes it was time to go. We walked rather slowly and went down to the more concrete part of the city. I was going to say goodbye like “Bye Bob!” because I felt a twinge of hopelessness. Instead it was a nice little lingery goodbye where we felt compelled to hug a little. And THAT's when it happened all of a sudden this whiff of something vomity strange and smelly maybe even rancid rising out of me...ME!!! The timing could not have been worse because I actually smelled it myself!!! Way to make a first impression ughh I was so embarrassed! Maybe that's what finally pulled me out of his arms and run into oblivion or into the subway. When I got home I just broke down, I knew it was over. Not that there was anything there.

To be honest I swore I'd never hear from him again. Hey if I smelled it, he smelled it – we’re intuitive like that! But nooo, to my "pleasant" surprise I heard from him again...and again. Not to sound sappy but it’s as if he felt the pure essence of my soul. If someone can call you back after seeing you a stinky sweaty mess – maybe there was a human in there somewhere. Now I QUESTiON it because lately he’s been bringing up my BO as if I SUFFER from BO! Well I suffer from many things, but I can assure you – BO is NOT one of them. Mind you I haven’t taken Vyvanse since, because I was not about to live with those yucky side effects. I want to choke him to the GROUND! For always bringing this up knowing that there’s a slight chance the aliens were conspiring against us and didn’t want me to help pull him out of the black muddy hole he calls reality. Point of it all, Vyvanse is the devil!

Hi, my name is Gerardo. So a year ago I was diagnosed with chondromalacia patella on my left knee. I was sent to do physical therapy to help build up the muscles around the knee. I got to a point where I was feeling really good. My knee felt better, I could walk up and down the stairs with no problems, no aches, and no pains. I kept on doing light weight therapy at home and just went on with life avoiding any activity that could hurt my knee. All of a sudden around the end of december my knee starts to feel weird again, no pain, no ache, just weird. Slowly my knee started to get a bit worse again as it started to ache. The ache eventually went away but my left knee still feels strange. Another thing that has started to worry me is that now my right knee isn't feeling so good. It feels like theres something wrong with it.
I set up an appointment to see a podiatrist because I have flat feet....Is it possible that all of this was because of this? What do I do when my job requires me to be on my feet but being on my feet is agitating my knees? Is there any hope for people with chondromalacia?

Was given a prescription for the antibiotic because I had another allergic reaction and we are not absolutely sure what it is due to that I needed to go to the hospital ER room for. Then I was given prescriptions for cephalexin and the equivalent of Benadryl and prescription for equivalent of Pepcid. I began to take the meds and by the end of the week my legs were cramping both of them in the way that I could not climb my stairs that evening. I had diarrhea incredible thirst and had no good appetite and sometimes felt like vomiting. The doctor oh excuse me the physician's assistant prescribed 500 milligrams every 6 hours 4 times a day which meant I have to wake up in the middle of the night if I actually wanted to take it in a way that the doctor wanted. My son was the one that help me find out that it was the cephalyx that was making me feel very ill.

  • Ears and nose constantly plugging up.

I've had a nose and head cold for a couple months now. first time ever I can remember for this long. nose plugs up and need to blow constantly. plus a lot of skin itching. Dermotologist told me it's likely dry skin apply mineral oil and a moisturizer. For the ears and nose always plugging up hydrogen peroxide drops help the ears and Claritin nasal spray has been clearing the nose. But seems no cure in sight. As for the itching, I have eliminated wheat from my diet amap and seems to be helping more than the skin drug the MD prescribed.. Mometasone furoate. The itching has been less and not as strong since I began the elimination of wheat.

I am doing my own research and testing things more now than going to the MD. They don't know nearly as much as they want us to believe. And seem to be more interested in getting to the next 'patient'(sic) waiting in line than in me. I have never had an MD ask me what I think might work. They don't seem to want to know if anything other than what their own Medical Establishment science says works (Any MDs around who might like to differ?) Thank you.

I started taking Lipitor about 7 years ago, maybe around 2008. About 4 years ago or so, I switched to the generic, Atavorstatin.
I believe I have contracted several side effects caused by these drugs including insomnia, depression and negative/dark dreams. I don't recall having these issues prior to taking this stuff. (By the way, I am male and 73 years of age).
I also have had kidney stones - Sept. 1997, Sept. 2012 and Feb. 2016. The first two were 15 years apart. The second and third 3 1/2 years apart, however, since the third event, I have changed my eating habits dramatically eliminating salt, as much as possible, nuts, and the like. I drink about 70 to 80 ounces of water and lemon juice a day and take 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar in water twice a week to help prevent future stones.
I am thinking seriously about ditching atorvastatin and trying to get along without it.
    Would appreciate feedback.

about 1.5 months ago, I was taken of sertraline 200 mg and started on Prazosin 3 mg twice a day (for PTSD/Nightmares) and 60 mg Cymbalta for anxiety/depression. They changed my medication because I have bad nightmares pretty much every night, I am always very agitated (misophonia is BAD), have trichotillomania, binge eating disorder and Anxiety/PTSD/depression/SAD. So they thought if I slept better at night, then I would feel less agitation, binge less etc etc.

Since taking it I feel like absolute crud. My head is super cloudy, I am very drowsy/fatigued and just want to sleep all of the time. Super dizzy, pounding heart and the list goes on. and best of all, my nightmares are actually worse. Not sure whether to give it more time or maybe its time to be on nothing at all. I am so tired of feeling like crap. It affects relationships and work. I just want to be alone all the time.
