Has anyone heard of a successful case argued again...

  • Has anyone heard of a successful case argued against Roche regarding DDD? I remember my back hurting quite badly while taking accutane when I was17-18 but was told that would happen so I didn't worry about it. I didn't realize it was causing permanent damage. At 25 an x-ray revealed abnormalities that the doctor investigated with questions like, "Had I been in a bad car wreck..., Had I jumped from a tall height..., Basically, could I remember injuring my back in any way. I hadn't. He said, "it's gonna get worse as you get older". I blew it off. What could I do? There was no correlation to make with Accutane during those early years. Now, at 45, I've been diagnosed with end stage juvenile DDD. It seems a fusion will be my only relief. It would be nice if Roche paid for it.

  • There seems to be lots of

There seems to be lots of links online related to accurate and degenerative disc disease but I cannot yet find any lawsuits or successful lawsuits. Have you had any luck researching this or working with attorneys? I am in a similar situation with DDD at age 33 and not explained by any other reasoning. It's only getting worse and I'm concerned about my future.

  • I only took Accutane for 90

I only took Accutane for 90 days and it seemed to work well- you probably took it longer. I was older when I took it and the worse of the acne was over with according to genetics- I had no ill effects from taking it except it left me with dry eye syndrome- which is manageable but does present lots of problems in dry areas like the desert- Sorry about your disc degeneration- I would have done anything to get rid of the acne trust me.
