I have been taking Alli for about one month now steady and prior would take it sporadically. I am 65 years old and have always been healthy (not diabetic) other than overweight. This week's blood work had my hypoglycemic at 51 with normal 65 to 95. Looking for some information about this. I haven't spoken to my doctor yet, just got the results emailed from Quest today. Thanks Barbara

  • Hello,I'm not different than anyone else that ha...

    Hello,
I'm not different than anyone else that has been on methadone maintenance in fact I have just about every symptom known to man. I started methadone maintenance about 12 years ago and gained 150 pounds, had two more children and I am so unhappy with myself. I am grateful for what methadone has done for me but because of dental issues, until I get enough money to pay for the dental work needed I cannot get off the methadone because it acts as a painkiller. I pray for the day that I can finally free myself from the symptoms that methadone has Kohl's me over the years. I'm just hoping that I'm not 60 years old before I can afford to get my dental work completed and then get detox off methadone and finally feel free to live my life. I'm hoping at this point I will be able to feel comfortable in my own body, which I have not in eight or so years. There's many things that I don't do because of course of the depression and many other symptoms. I own my own business and have five children.... two of which are my step-children. I have always been a health nut and since I've been on methadone I can only think about carbs and sugar and I know everyone says you need to stop eating carbs and sugar butt it is a really hard. I just wish they would come up with some type of weight loss drug that can be taken with methadone and it won't cause any interactions or side effects. I am going to start weaning myself down from a 150 milligrams to hopefully 100 milligrams but again I cannot take myself fully off at the moment until I get this dental work done. That's another thing I really wish they had Dental Centers for people that have changed our lives around and had past problems with drugs. Yes, I own my own business but I would like to get out and do other things which would include me being around other people and that I don't want to do because of my teeth. This has held me back from doing so many things... my dental issues and my weight gain! One more thing that I'd like to complain about and that is at the moment or for the last two years I've had sunburn looking arms, from my elbow down to my fingers on both arms, this is on the front of my arms. At the moment my doctor has not helped me with finding out what this is, it is not a rash and it does itch at times but only on my fingers and palms and again it looks like I've been burnt in a way. This is just something else that gives me self-eststeam problems along with my weight and my teeth. Again, I really appreciate your time and thanks truly from the bottom of my heart for listening to me rattle on about my problems. I just wanted to introduce myself, thank you for listening and if anyone has any comments or suggestions I am all ears!
