I male, 48 years and diagnosed as PiZZ with a typical serum level of 20. No lung impact but liver fibrosis and gallstone issues. Skin issues creep in and I am asked to go to specialist for checking out if it is paniculitis. Tiredness is now coming more and more often. Sometime it is really deep and cannot be improved through sleeping. A fatigue diagnosis does not exist (have not yet brought it up).

  • Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency & Myocarditis

Is there anyone out there with both of these? I have had Alpha 1 since 1998 and Myocarditis twice--once in 2010 and again in 2015. My EF is still around 30 percent. I often wonder if there is some connection.

Seeking to join group on behalf of someone else. I think it would be valuable to explore this connection and person is currently unwilling. Hopefully, this person will decide to join soon.

Developed involuntary movement symptoms and difficulty walking about 5 years ago. Many tests found no cause and eventually was diagnosed with Conversion Disorder. Very recently, diagnosed with Alpha 1 and wondering if there might be a link. That support group exists suggests there might be. Also, of note, movement symptoms began shortly after a very serious paint fume exposure.
