I have been taking amitriptyline for 10 years as a...

  • I have been taking amitriptyline for 10 years as a muscle relaxant following back surgery; 10 mg at night. I had noticed curious differences in my eyes over the past few years with some cloudyness (which a bit of blinking removes) and last year my annual eyesight test showed that my eye pressure in both eyes was too high. I have since been on Latanaprost which has reduced the pressure. I am also weaning myself off amitriptyline . If the amitriptyline is responsible and it seems possible because it does slow down urination rate so why not fluid seepage from the eye, then will the pressure return to normal of its own accord? Would it go too low if I continue to use Latanprost?
