I took one month of probiotics in May of 2016. By June I was at my doctor complaining of shortness of breath on exertion. Since that time I have had numerous tests and scans, seen 2 allergy doctors, 2 pulmonary doctors, a cardiologist and my PCP. I am in perfect health for my age which is 75. The only problem I have is I am still suffering from shortness of breath on the exertion and I am very slow walking now. Also this is beginning to affect me emotionally. Does anybody have any answers for me? I am desperate to find an answer. Thanks for any input.

I am 76 years old and I was on 20 mg duloxetine (generic Cymbalta) for a few years. It controlled my Vertigo. After awhile I started having what the neurologist called a "silent migraine" which is a vision of transparent tiny bubbles forming a ring. I see this all the time! Opthalmalogist said nothing wrong with my eyes so it has to be in my brain. Neurologist suggested upping the duloxetine to 40 mg a day but that didn't help either. Then I decided to wean myself off the duloxetine hoping that was the cause of this silent migraine. Its been a long, slow process as anyone who has gone thru duloxetine or Cymbalta knows there are many side effects to withdrawal. Brain zaps are the most common but I also started to get shortness of breath. This began almost a month after my last dose of duloxetine and continues. Does anyone know about how long this lasts? Oh...and I still have the silent migraine and the brain zaps (they have lessened considerably)!

I have been taking Cinacalcet for about 3 months. For about the past 2/3 weeks I have been having shortness of breath 4 or 5 times per day where I feel I am being smothered.
My doctor prescribed me an inhaler but I am in doubt of it because of certain instructions.
I am due to see the specialist this week.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you,
    Lotty Kelly

I am despairing of any pain relief for compressed discs of the spine which does not affect my breathing. I have bronchiectasis and this is bad enough without having to be in pain as taking Naproxen makes my breathing worse. So - Pain - or worse breathing. What a choice!
