I took Tamiflu in late March 2017 after having tested positive for flu. On Easter Morning I was rushed to the ER and tests and scans revealed I had suffered and survived a PE Pulmonary Embolism. Has this happened to anyone after taking Tamiflu?

I am a 39 yr old female who was diagnosed with DVT's in both legs and a month later neuropathy. How do you deal? Do anyone else have muscle twitches and spasms? I do in my arms, shoulders and legs. It is embarrassing but kinda funny. I also have intolerable pain at times and swelling around the two blood clots. Any advice would be greatly appericated.

  • In April 2017, I developed blood clots in my left ...

In April 2017, I developed blood clots in my left leg which was discovered after I had been diagnosed with multiple pulmonary embolisms. I was encouraged by my Rheumatologist to take prednisone to decrease the pain & imflammation I was experiencing from spinal stenosis last Oct. 2016. I had had a previous DVT & pulmonary embolism in 2009 after surgery, where they applied a tourniquet on my left leg for knee surgery. This time there is not any reason for the blood clots except the prednisone use. I am not a couch potato (in fact very active), no airplane travel or recent surgeries. All my genetic & clotting factors came back negative.

My blood clot goes from my groin to my ankle on my right leg. My PE in 50 % in both lungs. The 50% came from my doctor and I am not sure exactly what that means.

I lost my lower leg after having a blood clot within a week of receiving Remicade. Can't find a lawyer to take the case, not against Remicade but the doctors who did not diagnose the clot.

  • Hi my husband has dvt. he was on xarelta He then...

    Hi
my husband has dvt. he was on xarelta He then got carcinoma of the small intestines. They took him off the xarelta for a brief period to do surgery. Approximately two weeks after the surgery he started getting hives on his back and legs, shortness of breath and then one day he fainted (syncope). Before the syncope I was complaining to the doctor and asking where these hives were coming from. I took him to another doctor who said he would contact a dermatologist. A couple of weeks later he started with syncope. First it was hardly noticeable it was so brief, then the next time it was way longer. Has this happened to anyone out there? I took him to another doctor and he said he wasn't surprised because my husband was not a candidate for xarelta because he had two different occasions of blood clots. Now he has PE and has to have stents. Anyone out there with this scenario?

  • On Pradaxa Permanently with 2nd DVT

Hi all, I am in Canada and have been prescribed 150 MG 2ce a day of Pradaxa for the rest of my life as I have developed a 2nd DVT. I will be 46 years old shortly. I have now been on the drug for 4 weeks and heard that there are many lawsuits over internal bleeding. So now I am all paranoid and I seem to be stuck with a chronic headache and get sharp pains in my head which really hurt. I am usually very tired as well. I don't see any of these things listed as side effects so naturally I am paranoid.
I am also wondering if anyone has gotten another DVT while they have been on Pradaxa. Or what is a common side effect you have experienced and does it eventually go away?
    Appreciate any feedback.

hi. 37 male, hypertensive/sleep apnea (obstructive). 6'4" 285lb on a good day. Ever since I have been on this Amlodipine besylate it started causing extreme leg cramps when walking at the track. As it progressed to today 04/18/17, I believe it has caused a PE clot to migrate to my left lung or pericarditis is taking hold. I am due to see my GP on 26th April.
