  • Erythromyalgia from Hashimotos?

I was recently diagnosed with both, at different times. I was wondering if others here have the same issues. Are the two connected? My doctor said possibly, but didn't give much info.

I am a 68 year old female that once was very active in sports--running, basketball, ice skating, swimming and horseback riding. I am now a recluse having had fibromyalgia for 24 years and recently, erythromelalgia. I really hate this so I want to know what keeps you going day to day, how you travel and how you get sleep. Just walking across my yard takes effort. Forget exercise. I draw and do other artsy craftsy endeavors but most days I don't have the motivation...something I am desperately trying to acquire again. I would love to hear from you. Misery loves company.

  • Not sure how many people are in this group, but I'...

Not sure how many people are in this group, but I've been taking Nadolol 40mg daily for years now due to my Erythromelalgia. I no longer have insurance for the moment and am forced to ration out what I do have left until I receive a paycheck in a week. I am going down to splitting my pills to 20mg a day for now until I run out. Has anyone ever either reduced or gone off the Nadolol? I remember going on it caused extreme dizziness... I'm wondering what to expect with the reduction. Also wondering if anyone saw any significant difference once off the medication in their symptoms, as I'm not a fan of being on meds for life... but the condition is so painful, I've accepted it as a likely possibility. I'd appreciate any and all feedback :)
