I have been diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis for over three years now. When I was diagnosed, my doctor put me on Remicade, as a matter fact I get the highest dose. Normally I never have an issue with Remicade, maybe some sleepless nights, but tonight I passed out for over 20 minutes at the dinner table. Both my husband and I had no idea what was going on, I woke up to police officers and EMTs standing all around me at the dinner table, somehow my husband was able to keep me in the chair and not to fall. I am now in the hospital, I wound up going with the EMTs to the hospital and I've been sitting in the emergency room since 8:00 PM and it is now 4:26 in the morning. The pain in my back is unbearable, and I never knew I could pass out for almost a 1/2 hour from Remicade . I'm shocked, and a bit scared for the next time. I would hate to be behind the wheel and faint on my way home from the doctor, but I did not think right after the Remicade, I fainted 8 hours later. Is this something I'm going to have to worry about every time I get Remicade now ? Truly frightened!!!

Hi - I popped a Viagra yesterday, then did a tough workout at the gym, followed by jacuzzi and steam room, then fainted. I"m guessing Viagra and its effect on blood pressure, followed by the exertion and heat, is to blame. Yes?

I just experienced my first episode of near fainting. Scary. I live alone and did not know what to do - call 911, call my family or friends. How often do these episodes occur? With me it was just out of the blue while getting dressed.

I'm 75 years old and have smoked marijuana on and off since I was in my mid 20's. While I have had a couple of vasovagel episodes over the years when I hadn't smoked I have had repeated episodes when I was smoking; enough times to be able to make a direct association between the two. During the last episode I collapsed so fast I fell hard and tore the rotator cuff on my shoulder. So now I have decided that it's time to quit the weed before it kills me.
