Hi, New to all of these forums etc but thought id give it a go. I have recently been taking folic acid approx 3 weeks as me and my partner are trying for a baby. I have been to the doctors this morning regarding my skin as I have been suffering for years - nearly 10! with bad acne to the point where I am giving up and it's getting out of control!
I informed her of our plans for a child etc and she has prescribed me erythromycin and states that this is fine during trying to concieve and pregnancy. It wasn't until I got home and remembered I never mentioned about taking the folic acid neither did she mention it, I'm just concerned about taking these both together and if anyone else has had this issue or not and what the long term affects of this could be. I have looked online but not really had much luck in finding an answer, Can anyone help?

Personal experience about folic acid.
I used to take pure folic acid (the description depicted that it only contain folic acid of 500 mcg per pill). And I started to nose bleed every day, after using of such pill for a week.
recently, I bought adult gummies from 'nature made' brand, which claims to have 400mcg folic acid. I started to have a nose bleed again after using of such product for about a month.
For both experiences, my symptom of nose bleeding disappears soon after I stopped the pills.

I'm 71 yrs. old, 15 yrs on 8 mg. Methotrexate (one yr by injection), and folic acid. I want to stop meds and try gluten free diet including no corn, sugars & etc. I have psoriatic arthritis and fibromyalgia. Any comments or suggestions from anyone who has any experience trying to do this, please? Thank you. Mary

My RA is mild. The methotrexate caused my cholesterol to rise. The Lipitor caused my blood sugar to rise. The rheumatologist denied that the Methotrexate did this but I found research by peer reviewed journals that reported this finding.

All my life my menstruation was regular, each 25-26 days, like a clock. No problems, only pain. Since I take acid folic, 3 months , it is irregular, delayed, No ovulation. I am 33, quiet life, healthy diet, no stress, no health problems etc....NO kids...
No more excuses, Acid folic is changing my body, why?, I will let it. it is no normal. More than one month waiting my menstruation?

I was recently diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. I was first prescribed sulfasalazine but didn't improve on it after 7 weeks. My doc recently switched me to methotrexate and folic acid. She also gave me meloxicam and predisone to take as needed. I have not taken these last two.
I've literally been on the methotrexate (4 pills taken one day a week) for 2 weeks. I'm not sure when tot expect it to start showing signs of working. Also, my face started breaking out in the next couple of days after taking the 2nd dose of methotrexate. I am feeling frustrated, and don't want to stop but also don't want to deal with the breakouts. Does anyone have any similar reactions to the medication?
Thanks you very much.

I am 82 years old and have been in good health. I recently have become dizzy. I have gone to a cardiologist, neurologist, internist, eye ear nose and throat specialist and no one can find any reason for the dizziness. I have been taking folic acid for the last 20 years could this be the culprit?
