Hello... I've joined this group in hope of finding answers pertaining to gallbladder cancer that can possibly be caused by this prescription medicatation. I have lost my mother to gallbladder cancer. She was 42. My grandmother has now been diagnoised. The doctors are baffled because according to them, this is extremely rare. The only common denominator I have found is the psych meds that they have both taken in the past. Any insight will be helpful.

  • Hi there, I am a mom of 5 whom took yaz for about ...

Hi there, I am a mom of 5 whom took yaz for about 3 months before experiencing many different health problems with the bcp. One of the problems included hypertension, and sharp abdominal pains. A few months later I was under the knife removing my gallbladder and dealing with lowering my hypertensive heart. I joined the lawsuit against bayer in 2009 only to receive 1600$ in compensation after several thousand dollars in surgery costs, and tens of thousands of dollars in doctor's visits because of the other problems I ended up getting from using yaz, for just a few months. I was very disappointed to know we were not going to receive, pretty much anything, for our pain and suffering, thanks to these people whom swear their product has no connection to gallbladder disorder. I sent my attorney hundreds of documents from Universities, Research facilities, Private doctors' studies that showed how yaz's hormone ingredient caused the gallbladder disease, and all I received from my attorney was, "Bayer has provided thousand's of papers showing proof everyone else is incorrect!" I call BS on that one, how can they assume every woman's body would tolerate the crap they put in these pills exactly the same? We don't, some of us no matter how big or small, young or old, can react completely differently to these pills, yet we are in the wrong? How do you make up something like gallbladder disease?! I still don't understand how no one been willing to honestly make bayer pay for this. It's funny though that now on their warning labels they include gallbladder disorder as a possible side effect, shouldn't this give attorneys the advantage and make them pay accordingly? I saw how many were awarded 1/4 hundred thousand dollars, I just wanted to be awarded for my pain and suffering I ended up dealing with thanks to this medication since 2009, instead I got nothing, except worst health.
