Noticed it within 4 months after getting to full 250mg. Dropped to 200mg. Having eyes checked in January (1 full year later). Feels like it’s gotten worse. Don’t want to stop medication but scared about my eyes!

I am taking Lamictal for <1 month and my heart is pounding so hard. Every time I increase, I find that I need to lay down. Will this hurt my heart long-term? Shall I say something to my doctor? Will this go away?

My daughter has absence for past 6 years and now she got a clonic tonic seizure that lasted 2-3 minutes followed by nausea for few hours. The Dr. has ordered an MRI and EEG and started her on Lamotrigine. Need to know, if anyone here has same issue. What is the frequency of the grand mal and what is the best treatment? Thanks-Meets!

I'm a 56 yr old woman. My Dr put me on Lamotragine for severe mood swings. I had my 6 month appointment today to get my Phentermine refilled and to my surprise, the Dr wouldn't fill it because my blood pressure was 154/112. I've was absolutely shocked to tears. I'd been off the Phentermine for 3 months but on the Lamotragine every day for the past 6 months, not knowing what it was doing to me. I'd started having more headaches than usual. I can't believe my Dr didn't catch this. I've been researching since I got home and I've decided to taper myself of of the Lamotragine, in the reverse order that I tapered on. I can live with mood swings but I won't live if my BP continues to rise.

Put on lamotrigine at 12 years old (now 23) after one tonic-clonic seizure. Following this drug, I've been on many antidepressants. There are many side effects I experience daily and don't know which drugs are the cause. I suspect something bad will happen due to the frequency of these abnormal issues, and I am labelled as a hypochondriac by health professionals--not taken seriously by them.

I am currently taking Lamotrigine extended release for seizures. I recently moved to Florida and am experiencing a problem with humidity. I get to the point where I can barely walk and need assistance to sit. Is this normal?
