My RA is mild. The methotrexate caused my cholesterol to rise. The Lipitor caused my blood sugar to rise. The rheumatologist denied that the Methotrexate did this but I found research by peer reviewed journals that reported this finding.

I have been on depo for a good portion of my life due to endometriosis. The first time I went off it, I developed pcos and Hasimotos. Leading to two misscarriges. But after a few years and treatment, I was able to conceive and have two beautiful girls. Decided to go back on depo for BC and to help the symptoms of pcos. Up until this last April when I decided to have a tubal ND go off of it. Well 8 months later my Hasimotos is back with a vengeance. I have a goider and two nodules after my ultrasound. My TSH is normal due to me taking my levothyroxine bit my antibodies are currently at 2000. I swear the depo controled it all and kept it in line. But I do believe it was what caused it all in the first place. I am so tempted to go back on it. I have gained 30lbs just since my tubal, my periods are are so hard and I can't keep a tampon or a pad on more than a hour and it's full. I have more depression that started. I just don't know what to do. Awaiting a. Appointment with my endocrinologist to have a biopsy done of my nodules and what he's going to do. I have a feeling he's going to kill it, remove it, or put me on more meds to help. Any suggestions??

Female aged 67 taking 100mcg levothyroxine daily for underactive thyroid plus daily aspirin for 4years.
Recently prescribed formoterol fumarate inhaler (6 months ago) then Spiriva inhaler plus 40mg omeprazole a week ago.
I booked a thyroid test 3 weeks ago because my under active symptoms had become worse.
Had to wait for the test which took place after I'd been taking the Spiriva and omeprazole for 5 days.
Symptoms seemed to have improved since I started the new regimen but I'm shocked and surprised when the
TSH test came back as 0.1; i.e. over-active!; and my doctor called to say stop taking the thyroxine and have another
blood test in 2 months!
I'd rather stop taking the omeprazole, I haven't been suffering from acid reflux, I think it was preventative due to
the inhalers but is it likely to be the culprit? anyone else gone over active after taking it. I've found plenty of anecdotal
under active but not over Grateful for replies.

I feel my immune system is very compromised and want some ideas on how to increase my immunity. I exercise on a regular basis, walk nearly every day, am trying to eat better, take vitamins etc, don't smoke or drink, go to doc and take their advice completely. Have lost weight and will continue to do so. What else can I do?
