    Thanks.

I have taken Lipitor for about 15-years. I have no sense of smell and limited sense of taste. I am just hearing about Lipitor being the possible cause. I will stop Lipitor immediately. Can someone tell me if I have any hope of regaining this sense.

Lipitor caused me to have sepsis which further caused severe Rhabdomyolysis and acute renal failure. I then had a heart attack and admitted to hospital and placed in an induced coma for 16 days. While in a coma I suffered a severe stroke. I further spent 39 weeks in hospital trying to recover from left sided paralysis and was discharged in a wheelchair. Further other complication have occurred after being discharged from hospital. I am convinced that Lipitor should not have been prescribed as I was a very active farmer in my case. The prescribing doctor deny failure of care even though he was well aware I had a prior muscle condition. It is a well known fact that patients with a muscle condition should not be prescribed a cholesterol lowering drug.

    Hi

My partner has just been diagnosed with gastritis and he has been taking lipitor for about 2 years.

His doctor has not asked about this medication as a precursor. I decided to check it out as he is a non drinker, eats extremely well, exercises and drinks plenty of water. He is gluten and dairy free mostly... I was very confused as to why he could have this condition...

I would like to find out other peoples experience with this condition and statins.

    Thanks Francesca

I was prescribed lipitore with the reason being "fatty liver". I developed atrial fibrillation six months after the first dose. I have had "cathidor treatment twice with neither being successful. I have read that the mayo clinic have completed trials using non invasive laser devise around the electrical circuit with some success

Started taking this drug a couple months ago and I put on 15 lb.

I also found out I was diabetic in April and have completely changed my diet to a healthy one. I no longer eat fattening foods or sweets.

Have gain 15 lb and can't seem to lose it.

    Can anyone relate?

Thx so much. It's nice to have people to talk with who understand what you're going through. A Priceless gift.

    Take good care, Gayle
