  • Hello Monique; u are to be

Hello Monique; u are to be thanked for taking care of ur mom, and i am certain it gives u great sense of relief
This is from Drugs.com , about side effects of Lipitor:
    "Nervous system
    Common (1% to 10%): Headache
Uncommon (0.1% to 1%): Paresthesia, dizziness, hypoesthesia, dysgeusia, amnesia
Rare (less than 0.1%): Peripheral neuropathy
Frequency not reported: Nonfatal hemorrhagic stroke
Postmarketing reports: Cognitive impairment, memory loss, forgetfulness, memory impairment[Ref]"
Unfortunately, this drug is linked to effect on cognition and memory. My question thus is can you not make further modifications to improve her diet-towards more fibre, nuts, beans, grains, veggies and legumes, to be able to reduce her drug dosage, at the least?!
Of course, other confounding causes should be eliminated, ex thyroid( common in old age) and other hormone dysfunction, vitamin deficiency( or excess!), organ dysfunction, and vessel disease.
