Started taking this drug a couple months ago and I put on 15 lb.

I also found out I was diabetic in April and have completely changed my diet to a healthy one. I no longer eat fattening foods or sweets.

Have gain 15 lb and can't seem to lose it.

    Can anyone relate?

Thx so much. It's nice to have people to talk with who understand what you're going through. A Priceless gift.

    Take good care, Gayle

  • Lipitor is not the only way

One way to avoid UTI's is to get off Lipitor. There are lots of natural solutions that can help lower cholesterol levels other than the statin drug family that Lipitor is part of. You can switch to a natural product as long as you monitor your level regularly until you stabilize. You can also go the conventional route and continue on Lipitor and take antibiotics to zap the UTI's thus popping into the realm of taking a second medication to overcome the side effects of the first, but then, you may need a third to overcome ........... you can see where this is going.

Conventional medicine likes to assume that a specific drug acts the same way in every human. In more than 20 years of practice as a Natural Health Professional and Herbalist, I have found this to be grossly untrue. While the overall human reaction to some drugs is similar, each person reacts a little differently, and these differences result in what is known as side effects. Recurring UTI's, can be serious and eventually cause organ damage, but the only way to tell is by stopping or changing the drug.

All drugs are synthetic substances and the human body does not always handle them well. Herbs are plants and as such, provide food as well as natural medicinal properties. Natural solutions often work better than prescription meds, and they typically have far fewer side effects.

Check out the many articles and newsletters I have published about cholesterol and the dangers of Statin drugs in the newsletter archive on my website.

Feel free to email me or visit my website. I do phone consultations.
