I've recently lost 20 lbs. from 202 to 180 due to change in diet.
Changed to Lipitor 10 mg because of cost and have developed hypotension in conjunction with Terazon 5 mg. at night. Will continue to monitor BP during day to check rise in BP. See Dr. soon.
This has happened before and doctor cut bp meds in half.
Doesn't anyone else have this problem? I am 80 years of age and
suspect no longer need meds with significant weight loss. Plus change
in foods eaten. More vegs (3/4) on plate, no fried foods, etc.

I have been on Zoloft 50mg and Lipitor 10mg since 1990. A LONG time....both are considered low dose. I am currently on Lipitor twice a week due to muscle weakness in my thighs . When I can not squat and get up without crawling on the floor, its time to cut down on the Lipitor. I was on twice a week for several months and my cholesterol levels were still low, so think maybe this will work for me. My doctor agreed.
As far as the Zoloft , I was put on it in 1990 for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. Dr. Nancy Klimas Immunologist at University of Miami found that SSRI's help the immune system ...the CD4/CD8 (calm the high killer T-cell / and raise the low suppressor T-cell ) to calm down (autoimmune).
But I have decided to slowly wean off the Zoloft. I tried once before and got hot flashes like 100 a day !! But now that I am 66 , I should be over that side effect . But Zoloft sure came in handy after a hysterectomy when I was 50 !

Have been on Lipitor for a number of years and have recently developed Lymphedema. Are there any compelling reasons to say Lipitor is a cause?

Recently started lipitor, 2 weeks ago. Blood pressure increased to about 145/90+. I've never had a high diastolic number. Wondering if it's the lipitor.
