I am 60 years old, and have been taking Lisinopril...

  • I am 60 years old, and have been taking Lisinopril for about 10 years. I just had symptoms which seem to be a stone in my salivary gland. I will go to doctor tomorrow, but I just am concerned about taking Lisinopril now.

  • One factor for salivary duct

One factor for salivary duct stones, is dehydration; if u r taking diuretics with Lisinopril, it may increase ur risk. Other known factors are antihistamines. With Lisinopril specifically, there r no reports about saliv. duct stone formation.

  • Hello Nancy,

    Hello Nancy,

My name is Sha Adams and I am a naturopathic specialist, going on three years. I believe that the body is designed by our Heavenly Father, to heal itself. All it needs is a boost from natural medicine.

    Condition: Lisinopril medication
Natural remedy: brewers yeast, brown rice, blackstrap molasses, bulgur wheat, wheat grain, oatmeal with flaxseeds, walnuts, almonds, soybeans(grind) bananas, raisins, blueberries, dried apricots, one teaspoon of ginger spice, one teaspoon of cinnamon spice. Blend all ingredients, except brewers yeast tablets with Goat's Milk. In the evening hot, Almond Milk, with one teaspoon of ginger spice. Eating Almond nuts is also good for high blood pressure. Drink the Fiber drink throughout the day.

Nancy, what I prescribed is a natural remedy, whose objective is to control/monitor your blood pressure. This is an alternative to taking Lisinopril.
