  • Will my Fibrosis lessen if I stop Lyrica

I have been on Lyrica 50 mg for years. I was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis last year. The neuropathy in my feet has gotten worse and my Doctor upped my Lyrica to 150 mg. Instantaneously I had worse breathing issues. Lyrica was the only thing I could think of because I started the higher dose when the new breathing issue started. If I stop taking Lyrica all together will my breathing be better.

I am a diabetic with severe diabetic neuropathy, situational depressive disorder, addictive personality disorder, and restless leg syndrome. I take Lyrica, Cymbalta and Mirapex. Although I have had different addictions, I have been able to overcome them (cocaine abuse, alcohol, marijuana, and cigarettes). I have uncontrollable urges to gamble, that I can't seem to beat. My marriage is on the line and I don't know what to do.

  • Lyrica and raised triglycerides

I have been taking Lyrica (150mg/day) for about 6 months and I took it once before for about 4 months. In both cases my triglycerides went up above the normal range. The first time, I weaned myself off of Lyrica and my triglycerides returned to normal. This time I'm wondering if there is anything I can do to bring the triglycerides back to the normal range without stopping Lyrica. I was prescribed Lyrica post traumatic spinal cord injury for the pins and needles in my hands and fingers and subsequently was diagnosed with small muscle fiber neuropathy and prescribed Cymbalta as well as the Lyrica. Both conditions have improved since I've been taking the drugs. I do seem to have a balance issue as well. Like David C. I would fail the straight line walk test if stopped while driving! Since I've had improvements in my symptoms, I'm reluctant to stop the Lyrica but I would like to know what if anything I can do about the triglycerides. It's always been difficult for me to lose weight which is the usual solution to elevated triglycerides and all of these issues have made the situation worse. So, should I worry about the elevated triglycerides and if so, any suggestions as to what to do? I do exercises regularly and try to eat a healthy diet.
