Help, my husband has been taking lisinopril for over five years and has serious memory problems. We've been to neurologists and no one could figure it out. I just discovered this myself about lisinopril and memory loss. If he stops the lisinopril will he get his memory back? Can he stop taking the lisinopril? Ugh, so frustrating and frightening!! Please help. Any advice will be appreciated.

I have been on Mirtazapine for 4yrs on a high dose, along with many other meds. 2 months ago I stopped taking it and now I feel completely different happier and more with it. The most disturbing thing is that I can not properly remember the last 4 years. Images and the odd memory here and there but not much else. My wife said I was a different person and that I would be nasty to her verbally. I don't remember saying these these things or that i was being distant with everyone. Now I am completely different after i stopped taking them, back to my old self and everyone has noticed. I am feeling better and worse at the same time, better mentally and physically but I have destroyed my relationship with my wife and kids and I don't remember what I have done. My wife keeps telling me things and it is very upsetting. I feel ashamed for my behaviour but at the same time I don't remember what I have done or who I have been grumpy with. It has been like waking up from a dream and trying to remember what's happened.
Mirtazapine maybe ok on it's own but mixing it with lots of other things from the doctor has had a horrible effect on me.

I am hoping I can get some support or help from this group.
I will soon be 80 and started on Amiodarone in June to control my A Fib which has not occurred since starting the meds. I know people my age are forgetful, but I am displaying anxiety, can not always stay focused, and am forgetting how to do certain things on the computer, etc.
I would like to know if others have experienced this since starting this drug.
I also have a family history of Alzheimer's so am not ruling that out, but these new memory things started right after taking Amiodarone.

My wife has been taking metropolol tartrate for over a year and about four or five months ago started to show signs of forgetfullnes and memory loss. I have been doing some research and think that the drug has contributed or caused her memory problems. Thinking about asking our doctor to switch her to cardizem.

I am looking for people who are taking aricept for memory loss. How is it working for you? I am taking because of memory loss from 34 years of taking dilantin (currently 400 mg daily).
Is aricept working for you? I started 3 months ago and feel no change. If anything else worked for you I would like to know what it is.

My husband 71 has been taking 500mg a day Cipro for six years as a profolactic against an infection in artificial joint. He suddenly has very severe short and long term memory loss. We thought it was stroke but the docs are stumped cannot find evidence of stroke. Prior to this he was sharp as a tack. I am devestated .

I was diagnosed with VIPoma this past March. I have had Ultrasounds, CT's, MRI's, Octreotide Scan, MIBG, Pill Cam and have not been able to pinpoint the location of the tumor. My doctor states that eventually it will show itself. Has anyone had this issue where their blood work is stating VIPoma but location has not been found? This all started with my family physician that I originally seen for chronic diarrhea, flushing, rash on arms & trunk during symptoms, fatigue, lightheaded, sweats & fever, he ran the VIP lab test as a last possibility but never expected it to come back positive. Here I am 7 months later still not knowing. We put the testing on hold for a year. I am currently on Sandostatin LAR Depot 200 mg injections biweekly along with Octreotide 200/1ml injections up to 4 daily if needed. I have hypothyroidism and on Synthroid 50mcg daily. Lately I have been experience memory loss, repeating myself, having a hard time articulating what I am trying to say enough to where my family is pointing it out. I am sure my boss & coworkers are noticing also but just not saying anything. I need the injections for the symptoms but this memory issue is terrible. Has anyone else experienced memory loss? If so, did you stop the injections and is there another medication? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
