  • I have never been this scared in my life. I am 46 ...

I have never been this scared in my life. I am 46 years old and was given methadone for severe pain when I was 26. My doctor was a friend of my family so it was no problem getting my 40 MG waffers which I would take 6 a day, 240 MG per day. I tried to go to rehab 3 times but the withdrawl was torturous. After 12 years my doctor retired and I had no problem finding a replacement. But now it's time for me to pay the piper. I think 20 years on high dosages of methadone took it's toll on my body. My joints are hurting real bad. First my knuckles and now my ankles and knees. My teeth are falling out and I am always constipated. Looking back now I regret everything. But it's to late. I have a 16 year old boy and elderly parents that need me so everytime I start to taper and feel real sick I increase my dosage. I have never been so depressed. Any advice might be lifesaving.
    Thank You.

I recently asked my doctor if he would prescribe a prescription for Methadone for me so I could avoid withdrawals from pain pills/opiates such as Oxycodone.

However, due to a history of cardiac arrhythmia, I have been taking Flecainide along with other medications. I was told that taking these two drugs at the same time could be dangerous. Is that true and what are the adverse reactions I could experience? I did stop taking the Flecainide temporarily to avoid the dangers. Actually, I have been considering to stop taking the Flecdainide and two other drugs. (Digoxin and Metoprolol) My reasons are: I had a pace maker installed and later my surgeon performed a Catheter Ablation procedure on my heart. Since these two things have been done I do not have any problems with Arrhythmia and I was told that the Catheter Ablation corrected the Atrial Flutter problem but, this procedure does not eliminate Atrial Fibrilation. That would require a much more serious surgical procedure. Anyway, I believe that taking all these pills is no longer necessary.
