I have taken Flecanide Acetate 50 mg twice a day a...

  • I have taken Flecanide Acetate 50 mg twice a day about a year and a half ago. discontinued 1 month in as thought it might be causing dizziness. Now just started Flecanide today 50mg twice a day and take metoprolol succ ER 25 mg in morning and 12.5 in evening. Nervous about the combination of taking both. Has anyone else had dizziness the first month on Flecanide and did it go away after that ?

  • Been on Flecainide and

Been on Flecainide and Metoprolol for several years. Only an occasional dizziness when I jump up from sitting, as both these Meds. reduce blood pressure. I do believe, however, that Flecainide causes occasional bad dreams, but given the great benefit it offers in controlling A.Fib. I am willing to tolerate that issue. Good luck.

  • I was put on flecainide 3 yrs

I was put on flecainide 3 yrs ago. First 50 mg, which did not help. Upped it to 100 mg twice a day with 25 mg metoprolol. Have not had a incident of afib since.
I have heard that beginning metoprolol can make some people dizzy. Sometimes goes away after getting used to it.
