Do I need reclast for osteopenia

Home > Groups > Osteopenia > Do I need reclast for osteopenia
  • It has been recommended that I get the drug reclast for osteopenia. I have low liver function. I go to the gym three times each week and do weight exercises and walking. I do not drink alcohol or smoke. Because of my age (76) and the fact that I have precancerous esophagus, I have been told that I need reclast which is a biophosphate. I feel that I am in better shape than most others my age. Fractures do not run in my family.

Maybe they want you on Reclast because the other bone meds are taken orally and with me cause extreme esphogatis. I had Reclast infusion done last year and so far I've been able to tolerate it pretty well.
