    - Diagnosed just this week with 3.7mm tumor. Most likely stage 2, though PET scan with radiation oncologist consult will determine how much spread within the pancreas. Location of tumor in relation to blood vessels and nerve center preclude immediate surgery. Will most like start with standard chemo and radiation to shrink tumor, then with sufficient shrinkage, surgery may follow. - Long history of gastric acid reflux, on Omeprazole for about five years. Long history of IBS but no pain just variability in bowel movement frequency and attributes. Recent endoscopy remove 3 polyps, only one precancerous, finding of severe diverticulosis. Very recently diagnosed with diabetes 2.
    - My upper abdomen hurts, feels like indigestion, and haS stabbing pain in upper right side, but taking meds to help. Pain meds have caused constipation, though.
    - Pain reduction + antinausea drug keep abdominal from hurting too much, but pain medication caused constipation. Now taking a new drug that increases bowel movements when constipated due to opioid painkillers works after 2 days, stool is turning browner again after becoming pale/yellow last week.

    - My main question is whether this diagnosis means I should actively go places, get some strong cardio exercise in, enjoy food I like and drink moderately if it makes me feel better. Or, should I just keep still, read, watch TV, nap, work a little on my laptop, eat strictly non-fat, non-sugar foods.

I had chronic pancreatitis and the doctors would not treat my pain because I was a recovering drug addict. So after 3 months of agony i started suboxone. 3 months after starting suboxone I was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. The doctors still refused to treat my pain they said they would control it with suboxone. Suboxone is not near strong enough to control cancer pain. The pain management doctors refuse to see me. I don't know what to do.

At age 74, 3/2016 had ER+ lobular cancer 2 sites in left breast managed with total mastectomy and sentinel node biopsy (negative biopsy), placed on Arimidex. On August 20, 2017 developed nocturnal pain left abdomen radiating to back, usually gone in daytime but causing awakening during night, loss of sleep. On September 19, 2017 had CT scan that showed Stage 4 pancreatic cancer. Expect to have tissue diagnosis on 10/11/2017 following needle biopsy of liver done 10/5/2917, and discuss treatment.

  • I was diagnosed with Chronic Pancreatitis after ta...

I was diagnosed with Chronic Pancreatitis after taking Lisinopril and Simvastatin a couple of years. I was constantly sick, painful and swollen gut, choking on my food, spitting up bile and spit every morning, developed a horrific cough, and several other symptom. I ask my doctor to change my meds, I told her about the symptoms but she told me to take the Lisinopril or die from a heart attack. I went off the meds for 3 months, and all my symptoms subsided except for my painful swollen gut. I went to doctor for my annual physical and told her I had stopped taking both meds and many of my symptoms went away. So wrote new scripts for Losartan and another cholesterol med and I wound up almost dying when I stopped breathing, fell on the floor, and was literally paralyzed, face distorted as if I was having a stroke. The ambulance got to me in time and saved my life. Last week I was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer Stage 3 and just found a surgeon to remove the cancer and then I have to start Chemo therapy after surgery. I am so sick cannot eat for a month and have survived on Boost shakes. If you are on Lisinopril GET OFF THIS MEDICINE.
