Just saying Hi and wondering if there's a correlation between my suddenly sensistive teeth (they have a 'clanging' feeling). I'm very worried about it.
    Thanks.

  • After a dexa scan, it appears that I have post men...

After a dexa scan, it appears that I have post menopausal osteoporosis - I took one dose of Alendronic Acid, and within 24 hours, had incredible sensitivity in my teeth and a low level headache. It was so severe I could not brush my teeth for 3 days, and then started to improve.
My doctor said not to take any more, but still wants to prescribe another form of bisphosphonate - what is your opinion on this?

My fracture risk is 16% and there is a family history of fractures, so I should do something.
To add to this, I can't tolerate calcium supplements as it causes stomach pain and rectal bleeding.

    Suggestions?

Not long after discovering generic Flonase as a good treatment for nasal congestion (Sudafed messes up my urinary tract), I started having pain on one side of my mouth. Dentist with regular xray and endodontist with 3D xray saw nothing wrong with the teeth near the pain. Latter told me to take a vacation and get some rest! Oral surgeon said a bit of exposed jawbone was the cause and operated to file it down. Now wondering if Flonase was the culprit all along! I'm quitting Flonase today and will return to let you know what happens.

I started taking Gabapentine in October 2016. Over the last 2 weeks my teeth have started to be very sensitive.
This hasn't happened before. I have tried all the usual remedies but to no avail. Today I thought I would simply check it out online and here I am ! Reading of others who have the same problem.
Needless to say, I need to stop taking it just to confirm the Gabapentine is the culprit !
