Taking Quetiapine (Seroquel) 25mg nocte for 2 years, as adjunct to Venlafaxine (Efexor) 300mg per diem, treatment for major depressive disorder. Recently began experiencing personality change to angry, irritable, moody. Referring this to Consultant ASAP. Want to discontinue, but facing severe withdrawal symptoms (headache, nausea, etc.).

Check with ehealthme.com drug directory regarding this medication and it's side effects. One of the adverse reaction of this medication is called neuroleptic Malignant Syndrome. Which basically is caused by long duration of this medication. Such as mental status changes, mood swing, personality disorder, and confusion.
