Long story short :
1 - put on Buprenorphine maintenance ( Subutex)
2 - insomnia as a side effect of having made the shift, doctor prescribed Temazepam
2- started abusing benzos and Subutex looking for "similar" DOC effects
3 - worked for over the course of two years with significant reductions to almost 0, relapses ... currentely tapering from 30mgs Diazepam + 3 mgs Bromazepam ( why the latter , go figure :-))
4 - looking to get rid of the very bad long term side effects which benzos have been having on me
5 - read nebivolol reduces anxiety considerably but not related to benzo withdrawal/tapering
6 - never push it too far with the benzos ( actually, never take them regularly, it will ruin your life temporarily at least ) , gone from the most sociable, hardworking person to an almost houseboud burden of paranoia and fear/anxiety

I just saw my Suboxone doctor last night and I find it interesting; I have been telling him for months now that I believe I am suffering from adrenal insufficiency secondary to Suboxone treatment.
Although I have provided him with articles on this subject, from reputable medical journals, he continues to deny that this is possible.
Well today I found this: https://www.fda.gov/Drugs/DrugSafety/ucm489676.htm. This article discusses labeling changes planned for all opiate drugs, including buprenorphine. Among the intended changes to the labeling; A warning that opiates may cause issues with adrenal insufficiency. Wait, I thought my doctor said that is impossible? Go figure.
The article also highlights another warning to be added; That long term use may also lower sex hormones.
So for all of us who have been told by our suboxone docs that these kinds of symptoms are not caused by suboxone, Show them this article!

Hello, everyone. I am 49 and have been on this "EVIL” Drug for almost 3 years, after being completely sober for almost 20 years. I call this medication evil simply because I have tried to stop taking it numerous times with only hell to express the massive failure. I can go on,
Completely healthy all my life and all the sudden I’m in the hospital with 6 doctors telling me unprovoked PE and no other explanation can be given. I came to close to death and can only imagine how many people have died from this unprovoked similarly that a club was formed. I am truly looking forward to talking about this more.

I have a 14 year old nephew, who is sitting right next to me. I live in PA, he lives in Maryland, Both his parents are are on Suboxone Strips and snorting Vynalase, It's been years and years of drug abuse/use, mental, physical abuse on each other and the kids. My baby sister and I got my other nephew out of the toxic environment 4 years ago.
I now sit here, thinking about taking him home in a few hours. The police were at his home AGAIN last night, they both go nuts when they do or come down from this stuff and I don't feel like I should put him back in that situation. Please help

I’m trying to come off suboxone. I finally started really detoxing a week and a half after last dose of 24mg. Two weeks in I had hallucinations in the middle of the night. I have found this detox harder and longer than my opiate detox. After more than two weeks I am still on able to go back to my job or take care of my daughter let alone my own basic needs. Is this normal? How long should I expect after more than two weeks I am still on able to go back to my job or take care of my daughter let alone my own basic needs. Is this normal? How long should I expect this to last?
