The bad taste in my mouth isn't the worst of it. Nothing I eat tastes good except sugary foods, and I don't want to end up with diabetes.

I am a 55 year male whom takes a hybrid cannabis extract at a ration of
8.9 THC:8.9 CBD with an original dose of .50ml that experienced a "Metallic Taste." After dropping the dose to .30ml, I experienced a substantial drop of the "Metallic Taste" in my mouth. Since reducing my dose to .30ml I have a very low level of "Metallic Taste" in my mouth. I radically withdraw withdraw from anti-depressants entirely to treat PTSD. I never used illegal drugs or substances, nor am I an alcoholic. My treating doctor could not prescribe marijuana but supports my endevours with my use of marijuana. The doctor has seen amazing results since my first treatment in March of 2017- he is keenly witnessing amazing results.

My doctor started me on metformin. A couple weeks in, I developed an extreme bitter taste in my mouth so I went off of it and she put me on Victoza. I still have that terrible taste - everything I eat tastes awful and I am living on tic tacs and listerine edible sheets to try and mask the taste. I had this same thing several years ago when I was on terbinafine (which was an anti fungal medicine) and the bitterness lasted 4 months after I stopped taking it. Do you think since I got the taste when I was on metformin that the Victoza is now the cause of it?

My name is Laurie and I am new to the group. I have been diagnosed with AS and am in the middle of a new flare up. I am noticing that my Diet Coke doesn't taste good anymore. Neither does popcorn and butter. I have a red throat and a few white spots in my mouth. Is the loss of taste a temporary thing, I hope? I guess it would be good for getting me to drink more water instead of Diet Coke. Maybe going gluten free will help?

I have lost taste and have metallic taste. Nothing tastes good. Have to force myself to eat after taking simvastatin for a year. Dr. could not figure out what was wrong. Dismissed me saying it was age. (I am 70) Stopped on my own after reading reports of others with problem. How long does it take to get taste back to normal?

I was first diagnosed with AF in October 2011 and have had it on and off ever since. In October 2016 I had a cardioversion which lasted for 3 weeks, then I had another at the beginning of this July which didn't work followed by a 3rd attempt on July 20th which has lasted for 3 months. I will be 65 at Xmas. With each episode, I've noticed a horrid metallic taste in my mouth for a few hours before the AF comes on although I don't have this taste all the time. I do have other health issues. I would like to join the group to see if anyone has any coping strategies that I could try. Thank you, Janice.
