    Hi,

I've had a low noised Tinnitus for years but when my doctor told me to take Lamisil my Tinnitus got way worse after only 5 days. I didn't know it was Lamisil until today when I was so scared and trying to figure out why the noise level had sky rocketed in my left ear, I tried to think of when and why this was, and as my girlfriend was about to apply the Lamisil on my back, I quickly googled Lamisil Tinnitus and lo and behold, I saw there was a correlation.

My biggest question is, will it go away or stay like this forever? I now might have to leave my job because of it because it is so intense.

I really hope they find a cure for Tinnitus in the future.

    Best wishes./ C

I started taking 2.5 mg Ramipril for elevated BP last October and noticed a high pitched ringing in my ears all day every 3 days.I did not put 2 and 2 together because i had a bout with T a few years back . Anyway , my BP was not going down so my cardiologist upped my ramipril to 5mg last January 2016 and within 2 days not only was i experiencing a high pitched sound but a roaring sound that never goes away. I used to at least have days of silence when the high pitched sound was not there and now i never had real quiet at all. I stopped the Ramipril last may or June and still have terrible symptoms. High pitched noise is either every other day or every 3rd day and of course the ever present lower sounding roar. I have dealt with it by not allowing myself to pine over it or give negative thoughts which has helped. However, it is a bit depressing thinking it may never change so i just take it one day at a time. Has anyone out there had a reduction in T severity after stopping Ramipril?

Been taking doxepin for so long, I don't remember if the script came first or the ringing. Started with sinequan but changed to doxepin when the generic became available. Have very high blood pressure but it's kept under control with metoprolol and amlodipine. I have ringing sometimes, but mostly it sounds like crickets. Louder sometimes than others. Would love to have silence. Have to take doxepin for fibromyalgia. Only other reason for ringing was a concert years ago that was loud. Hearing muffled for a few days afterward, but hearing came back ok. I'm white female 84 years old.
