I started taking Tumeric 6 days ago for anxiety and depression. I take 550mg in the morning and at bedtime. The first three days were great, but the last three days I have been waking up at 4:15am and was wide awake.
I ave read that Tumeric helps with sleep but also read that it creates insomnia especially with people suffering from depression. Trying to decide if I should take it in the morning and dinnertime or at bedtime.
Any advise would be helpful.

When I first started taking
When I first started taking turmeric, it kept me awake. But I was taking the full recommended dose in the evening. So I tried taking half in the morning and half in the evening and it seemed to work. I was taking it for my hip joints and for insomnia. It works well for my hip joints. Don't know if it does anything for my insomnia -- except that I am more comfortable.

Oh boy now I have to worry
Oh boy now I have to worry and read more about taking curcumin and possibly causing sleep problems. Thought curcumin would help lower LDL cholesterol and I could get off statin cause seems like that really made me have insomnia. It's all new to me and sooo annoying.
