Has anyone had any strange side effects when taking b12 with their viibryd? I was taking them together for a while and noticed my depression just became horrendous. I was barely able to function because of the sadness, bouts of sudden anger, hopelessness, and suicide idealization. I quit the b12 and my symptoms have vanished. Has anyone else experienced this? HELP!

I have been taking xeralto for 12 months after a pulmonary embolism I also take gastriwin as the xeralto causes silent reflux the supplements I take under medical supervision are amino acid chelated iron, potassium and magnesium. The pharmacist who sends my monthly prescription sent me a different brand of iron this month and it has vitamin b12 and vitamin c added. Before the embolism I took a multi vitamin b supplement and b 12 but the physician told me to discontinue it. Can I take this iron supplement with b12 and c added?

I have the gene mutation MTHFR c 665.T and my doctor in Australia who is specialising in MTHFR gave me Methyl Cobalamin B.12 1 mg under my tongue, one per day, plus 2 x Bioactivated BP 694mcg, plus 1 5-methyltetrahhydrofolate from 925 ug.
Ever since I took the first B12 it has given me constipation, very painful.
I mentioned this to the Doc, and he said I should address the constipation as it was more important to take the meds. So I now take a laxative every day, sometimes its not enough, and the motion is very painful to pass.
I also have Hashimotos, that is not quite under control. I am female and 68.
I cant say Ive felt any better, its only been 3 weeks since Ive taken the meds, but the constipation is making me very unhappy. I normally eat a paleo diet and am gluten free and dairy free, and normally have 2 bowel motions per day.
I did add some ground flaxseed to a vegetable smoothie and this seemed to be hepful. Just wondering how other people cope with this and any suggestions?? My doctor said that the constipation would go when the seratonin kicked in...........

I have been taking b12 for about one year. A few months ago I was feeling tired and may have skipped some doses so I took some small vials of B12 for two weeks. The vials were left over from when I was first diagnosed My blood test came back still a bit elevated at 900. I had stopped the b12 about a month ago after I was tested and it was at 2000. I have currently begun to have knee pain and don't know if the b12 is interfering or it's just bad knees I was diagnosed ten years ago with bone on bone . The discomfort just started in the past two weeks . Any thoughts?
