I have portal thrombosis at age 38. Waiting on tests to find cause of clots. Warfirin is new to me and taking lovanox injections 2x day until Warfirin reaches therapeutic dose. I feel exhausted but also abnormally irritable and agitated. This could be from just finding out i have clot disorder and just got out of hospital. Any advice is greatly appreciated . joy

  • Can't sleep

I have been taking Warfarin for ten years. I take other prescription drugs and seem to stay pretty much in my INR range. BUT ... was recently hospitalized for a long time with a surgery and then a pneumonia. Doing much better with new hip and pneumonia cleared BUT .. I can't sleep. So many things are addictive and I don't want to take something that will seriously interfere with my INR. How do you feel about Unisom? Something OTC that does not have Benadryl -- which has an adverse effect on me. ??
