  • I have multiple back issues and nerve pain associa...

I have multiple back issues and nerve pain associated with them. I have pain sitting and lying down. I can not sleep on my side pain, if I do I cannot walk. I have been taking gabapentin for 1.5 years. I have worked my way up to 1100 mg taken I hour before bed, I also take zolpidem. i have been having some very disturbing thoughts lately, so I decided to try and lower my dosage slowly. 100 mg, wait 3 weeks reduce it again by 100 mg. After I reduced it the first time my back pain started to increase, I assumed it was my back, the second time I reduced it all hell broke loose, the back pain became intense, and I really started thinking I can do not want to live like this. Now my body/system is all screwed up. I increased my dosage back up 1000. I am stilled screwed up mentally and physically. Should I go back to the1100. Will that help my state? My doctor does not know what she is doing. She wanted me to start 300 mg 3 times a day, the pharmacist said I would really go into withdrawal you can't just go from 1 high dose to 3-3-3. Is there any professional help available that really know this drug and it's effects or are there types of doctors that are more knowledge? There should be a hotline!!

  • I have been under a lot of stress the last couple ...

I have been under a lot of stress the last couple of years as I am self employed working on contract in the Middle East. Not stable contracts. Contracts pulled at the last moment. If your a boss there of what ever nationality you have the 'whip hand'. Lower wages. For 2 months I have had anxiety and depression (due to financial pressures) but much better now (I think). I have been taking 10mg of Zolpidem Tartrate for 7 weeks to put me to sleep. Last 2 weeks I have felt a queasy nausea- no pain. Could the group comment on the above.

Leg cramps at night are bad. Sometimes they wake me up every hour. I hoped Zolpidem would help me get some sleep but now think they are contributing to the cramps. Anyone else experiencing this?
